Pueblo la Plata

About 3,000 people lived in various villages built on Perry Mesa within the monument between A.D. 1250 and 1450. Pueblo la Plata is a large stone masonry pueblo that showcases a major settlement by the Perry Mesa Tradition people, the last large group to occupy the area. These extensive village ruins contain approximately 100 rooms. Walk among ancient artifacts of broken pottery, stone tools and shrapnel that scatter the ground.
