Overview

This picturesque 1,220 acre park is located on the banks of Lake Eufaula, otherwise known as the 'Bass Capital' of The World'. The park has a lodge, convention center, modern campground, vacation cabins and lakeside cottages, picnic areas, an 18-hole golf course, and a marina complete with launch facilities and boat slips.

Activities

  • Boating

    Lakepoint Resort State Park's modern marina has both covered and uncovered slips for rent. All slips have hookups for electricity and water. Open slips are available for transient boaters. Boats are available for rent as well.

  • Camping

    The park campground provides 245 improved campsites with bathhouses conveniently located throughout the campground. Some sites have full hook ups, while others are more primitive with water only.

  • Fishing

    Lakepoint Resort State Park is part of the Alabama Bass Trail and is equipped with a weigh-in stage area and docking facilities for all size fishing tournaments. The marina is recognized as one of the finest tournament facilities in the world. Not only is Lake Eufaula well known for bass fishing, other fish such as striped bass, catfish, bream and crappie are plentiful.

  • Golfing

    Lakepoint Resort State Park's 18-hole championship caliber golf course is open seven days a week. Tee times are recommended on weekends and holidays, as the course is very popular.

  • Hiking

    Lakepoint Resort State Park has seven hiking trails, with a total of five miles of hiking trails. The park is a great place to birdwatch and view other wildlife, with the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge right next door.

  • Picnicking

    The park has a spacious picnic area overlooking Lake Eufaula. Tables are spread throughout the area, and four covered pavilions are available for rent.

  • RVing

    The park campground offers a variety of campsites with hook-ups, including pull-through sites. Sites with water, electric, and sewer hook-ups are available, as well as more primitive sites. Additionally, the park offers RV storage near the campground.
