Users can now share, save, rate and check in to nearly 60,000 parks nationwide.

A brand new version of the Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™ mobile app is available for Apple and Android. The app update adds more than 50,000 local and regional parks and allows users to interact with the app by checking in to parks they visit, posting reviews and photos, keeping track of their favorite parks, and sharing with friends via Facebook and Twitter.

Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™ combines a comprehensive database of parks and public lands with a searchable list of available activities. The elegant interface now allows park enthusiasts to share local knowledge with each other, making it easy to discover new places to explore near home and all across the country.
Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™ helps provide a starting point for outdoor adventure.

With the addition of local parks, 10 new activity categories have also been added. There are now 30 activities to choose from, including basketball, playgrounds, skate parks, disc golf, dog runs and more.

Additionally, as part of an ongoing partnership with Ford Explorer, Ford will again donate $150,000 to non-profit organizations that support parks and public lands. This year, four non-profit partners have been selected to benefit from Ford’s generosity: the Boy Scouts of America, the National Wildlife Federation, Outdoor Nation and Student Conservation Association. App users can directly determine how much money each cause receives by voting for their favorite. The donation will be split among the four non-profit partners in proportion to the number of votes cast. The campaign will continue through September.
