Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™—Now Available on Android

American Park Network and Ford Motor Company have joined forces to expand the availability of Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder, a free mobile app that helps users find nearby parks all over America based on their favorite activities or location. The new Android version comes just in time for the summer season and can be download at the Android App Store (now called Google Play). As has always been the case, Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™ is free and, if you don’t have a smartphone, you can find the same information at OhRanger.com.

When you try it out, you’ll quickly see that we’ve included thousands of parks and public lands in our database to make enjoying the outdoors easy. Each location is cross-referenced with information about available activities, allowing you to search for nearby parks based on 20 different activity categories. Find everything from great spots for hiking and camping, to nearby havens for hunting and fishing. Pretty much anything you can do in a park is included! Once you figure out which park has the right mix of activities, Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder provides details and contact information to help you plan your adventure. Much of the information is embedded, so you don’t even need a cell signal or Internet connection to display park information, an important feature as many parks have little or no connectivity. So whether you’re into discovering wildlife and historic sites, or just want to take a scenic drive, Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder has you covered.

P.S. Please help spread the word by telling your friends or writing a review in the Google Play or iTunes app stores. Please also keep an eye out for new features and content, as there’s lots more coming this summer. Have fun in the parks and be sure to let us hear your comments and suggestions…
