Woods Canyon Day Hike
Rating: Easy.
Use: Heavy.
Season: Spring through Fall.
Just beyond the dam at Woods Canyon Lake lies a creekside trail that is possibly one of the most beautiful trails on the district. Lush grasses, fern, and wild roses grow along the creek which is surrounded by pines, firs, and oaks. There are miles of sightseeing, perfect for a few hours or a whole day. Numerous large, flat rocks on which to rest or picnic along the route. Bring your camera on this hike.
Notes:
* Although not a system trail this "pathway" is well defined.
* Travel as far as you would like into the woods but be aware of changing weather conditions.
