DeGray Lake Resort State Park is Arkansas's only resort state park. Set in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and nestled along the north shore of 13,800-acre DeGray Lake, one of the region's five Diamond Lakes known for their crystal clear waters, DeGray offers all the outdoor adventure and quality of an Arkansas State Park combined with resort class amenities. DeGray is a fishing and water sports paradise, a golf resort, the ideal camping spot and the perfect location for family vacations, getaways, reunions, weddings, business meetings and retreats. The park's dominant facility, DeGray Lake Resort State Park Lodge, sits on its own island and offers guests spectacular views of the distant mountains and DeGray Lake itself. The 94 room lodge is centrally located within the park and includes convention and meeting facilities that can accommodate groups of 10 to 300 attendees. The DeGray Lake area is rich in birdlife and wildlife which are protected within the park. The rustic natural beauty and pristine setting are ideal for a wide variety of outdoor pastimes. Bicycle through the park, go bird watching, enjoy the hiking trails or lounge on the beach. Have a family picnic or a group gathering and cook out at one of the park pavilions.   • Boating

    DeGray Lake is a 13,800-acre fishing and water sports paradise. A full-service marina complete with dock space, watercraft rentals, fuel station and a bait & tackle shop is available at the park. Free launch ramp and parking is available for personal craft at the marina as well as two other locations within the state park.

  • Bicycling

    While bicycles are not allowed on the trails in the park, visitors are welcome to explore the rest of the park by bike.

  • Camping

    DeGray Lake Resort State Park offers 113 campsites with water and electric hookups. Locations vary from lakeshore to shaded woodland. Accessible sites are also available. Bathhouses with flush toilet and hot showers are located in all areas. For a more unusual experience, yurts are available for rent as well. They can sleep six people and are equipped with an ice chest, double burner stove with fuel, folding table with chairs, and bunk beds.

  • Fishing

    The sparkling DeGray Lake on the Caddo River offers Arkansas's finest fishing for hybrid striped bass and great angling for walleye, crappie, bream and catfish.

  • Golfing

    DeGray is one of the most popular Arkansas golf resorts featuring Lake DeGray Golf Course, a challenging, 18-hole PGA championship public course that stretches over 7,100 yards. The course offers views of DeGray Lake and opportunities to view the birds and other wildlife that abound here. The front nine offers wide, expansive fairways with elevated, undulating and sloping greens, and hidden water hazards. The back nine is carved out of the woodlands leaving little room for stray shots.

  • Hiking

    DeGray Lake Resort State Park has five trails for guests to enjoy alone or on a scheduled, park interpreter guided hike. Each of DeGray's trails takes you into a unique area of the park.

  • Horseback Riding

    DeGray Lake Resort State Park is proud to partner with Arkansas Riding Stables to offer guests a unique horseback riding experience along DeGray Lake's majestic shore and through towering pines. Guided rides leave from the horse stables and take approximately one hour. Guests of all ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. Boots and jeans are not required. Guests can ride comfortably in shorts and shoes. Steps are available for those who need assistance with mounting a horse.

  • Picnicking

    DeGray Lake Resort State Park offers two covered pavilions and one private lakeside area that may be rented for group or family events. Each pavilion has seating for 72 guests, electrical outlets, 3 ft. x 3 ft. podium grill, trash cans, fire pit, water and lights. Pavilions may be rented in full day or half day intervals. Lakeside Vista group area is kept in a very natural state, although parking, picnic tables, grill and toilet facilities are available.

  • RVing

  • Water Sports

    In warm months the lake waters are ideal for water-skiing, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, and pleasure boating. The clear water of DeGray Lake is also perfect for scuba diving and swimming. Spend a day relaxing on the beach or going for a swim in the cool waters of the lake.



DeGray Lake Resort State Park is a 30-minute drive south of Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Scenic 7 Byway. Or, take Exit #78 off I-30 at Caddo Valley/Arkadelphia and travel seven miles north on Scenic 7 Byway.


Travel major airlines to Little Rock (a one-hour drive away) or commuter airline to Hot Springs (a 30-minute drive).
