Overview

Located along the historic Lewis and Clark route, this area boasts a plethora of recreation opportunities such as camping, swimming, boating, fishing, and hunting (outside of recreation areas). This lake is one of six large lakes on the Missouri River, and the area is of historic value because it hosts numerous village sites of early Indian culture.

Seasonality/Weather

Project Office hours run from Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm CST. Powerplant Tours are daily at 1:00 pm. Memorial Day through Labor Day. For scheduled Tours for large groups of 12 or more or off-season tours, please call (605) 245-2255 during business office hours to schedule an appointment.
