Fee site, two tent sites, six campsites (tent/auto/trailer), toilets, drinking water, fireplaces - no wood available, tables, no trailer disposal hookup.

Fishing is possible in Shell Creek and Cabin Creek. Trail 184 and Adelaide Trail are a few miles to the southeast. Trail 184 goes goes west, Adelaide Trail goes east. Ranger Creek Campground and Group Picnic Area are a few miles southeast. Granite Creek Picnic Area is a little more than a mile northwest.

Shell Falls and Shell Canyon are located on State Highway 14 (Bighorn Scenic Byway). Shell Falls has a viewing platform and there is an information and sales area, displays and interpretive trail. Shell Canyon is a narrow gorge that winds through mountain terrain to Big Horn Basin (where bighorn sheep can sometimes be seen).


Directions from Shell: 20.5 miles southeast from Shell, on US Hwy. 14, then 25 miles southeast on Forest Road 548 (Bighorn NF Visitor Map - E4).
