TRAIL ENDING: 10,250 ft. Misty Moon Lake.

ATTRACTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS: Misty Moon Trail intersects the Solitude Loop and the Lily Lake trails giving good access into the Cloud Peak Primitive Area. Thus, the Misty Moon trail serves hikers whose stay will be from over night to several weeks.

NARRATIVE: Starting at West Tensleep Lake the Misty moon Trial is a steady climb following West Tensleep Creek to Lake Helen, Lake Marion, and on to Misty Moon Lake. The subalpine timber areas of Lake Helen change quickly to scenic alpine meadows at Misty Moon Lake.

Directions from Ten Sleep: Take US Hwy. 16 east of Ten Sleep, Wyoming, 18 miles. Turn left onto West Tensleep Lake Road. Travel seven miles to the end at West Tensleep Trailhead.
