Ranger Creek Picnic Ground

Three multiple family picnic sites, drinking water, toilets, fireplaces - cut wood available, tables, no trailer dump, group fee, non refundable fee for groups; fees vary with size of group, minimum.

Fishing is possible in Shell Creek. Adelaide Trail goes east and Trail 184 goes west. Shell Creek Campground is less than a mile to the west and Ranger Creek Campground is available for overnight use.

Shell Falls and Shell Canyon are located on State Highway 14 (Bighorn Scenic Byway). Shell Falls has a viewing platform and there is an information and sales area, displays and interpretive trail. Shell Canyon is a narrow gorge that winds through mountain terrain to Big Horn Basin (where bighorn sheep can sometimes be seen).
