Alcatraz: Life on the Rock Exhibit

Infamous. Mysterious. Historic. Alcatraz. And you don’t have to travel to San Francisco to gain a first-hand experience of the lives of renowned criminals. Through July 1st, Alcatraz: Life on the Rock Exhibit will be free of charge at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.

Designed to detain some of the most infamous felons of all time, Alcatraz Island is an extremely important landmark in the American penal system. Encounter the legend for yourself through rare artifacts, intriguing displays, authentic memorabilia, and fascinating footage of The Rock in its prime. You can even sit like a criminal in recreated prison cells!

The exhibit is perfect for a weekend trip or educational adventure. Journey back into American history this summer, from 8am-5pm daily through July 1st, at the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal. The National Park Service and Alcatraz Cruises have come together to bring this exhibit to the east coast. Support your national parks and encounter America’s mysteries at this fascinating exhibit.
