Pumpkin Patch Train Kicks off in October

Pumpkin Patch at Grand Canyon RailwayAll aboard for a trip to all things autumn! For the second year Grand Canyon Railway will offer its special “Pumpkin Patch Train” on all weekends in October. The train will leads to the "secret pumpkin patch," where children will have 30-45 minutes to pick out a pumpkin. In addition to selecting that special pumpkin, guests will enjoy a new haunted train car, a hay maze and crafts in and around the historic 1908 train depot. Pumpkin decorating and face painting will take place at the depot as well. Refreshments such as pumpkin pie, hot chocolate, caramel apples and hot cider will be available for purchase.

The Pumpkin Patch Train will depart from Williams, AZ, on the hour at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2012. Rates are $20 for adults and $15 for children 2-15, and seats are on a first-come, first-served basis. A pumpkin for each child on the train is included. Kids (and their parents) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.
