Overview

The campground located adjacent to the historic John Jarvie Ranch near Browns Park in Utah. At an elevation 5,700 feet, there are 15 campsites, with a put-in for the Green River, for those seeking trophy fish or whitewater fun. The campground is open year round.

Activities

  • Boating

    Boat access to the Green River is available from the campground.

  • Bicycling

    Mountain biking is allowed on the nearby Green River Trail and some parts of the Little Hole National Recreation Trail.

  • Camping

    There are 15 campsites at this campground. Sites can be reserved by contacting the Price Field Office. The campground is open year. Drinking water is typically available from May 1 until October 1. Toilets are available.

  • Fishing

    Fishing is available in the Green River.

  • Hiking

    The nearby Little Hole National Recreation Trail follows the north side of the Green River between Flaming Gorge Dam and Little Hole for seven miles downstream. The Lower Little Hole Trail extends from Little Hole about two miles downstream.

    The Green River Trail begins at the nearby Indian Crossing Campground and goes upstream following the river for a distance of two and a half miles to a point just across the river from Tree Tops Camp.

  • Horseback Riding

    Horseback riding is allowed on the nearby Green River Trail and some parts of the Little Hole National Recreation Trail.

  • Hunting

    Hunting is permitted. Contact the park for information on seasonal game and licenses.

  • Off Highway Vehicles

    Use caution on the steep, graded dirt road.

  • Picnicking

    There are picnic tables and fire rings at this campground.

  • Water Sports

    Tubing on the Green River is permitted and river access is available from the campground.

From Vernal go north on US 191, 55 miles then east at the Utah/Wyoming state line for 22 miles.
