North Piney Lake offers breathtaking views and fishing, and the trail connects with the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail. At the junction with North Piney Creek Trail, North Piney Creek must be forded, walking your bike. There is one spot just below the lake that is fairly steep, and a talus field just above the lake, but most of the trail is a gradual climb.
