Cameron Run Regional Park offers a variety of recreation facilities in an urban area, including Great Waves water park. Catch a wave in the wave pool, twist and turn down four-story water slides, take a plunge down speed slides, play with friends in the shallow waters of the play pool. Little ones will enjoy the tad pool. The park also features a deluxe miniature golf course with pond, a nine-station batting cage, picnic shelters, and a special event pavilion.

There's fun for everyone at Great Waves! Catch a wave in the wave pool or twist and turn down four-story water slides! Slide with friends or splash around in the shallow waters of the play pool. Little tykes can enjoy the tad pool. Hungry? Enjoy pizza or hot dogs, hamburgers and snacks from the eatery. Cool down with ice cream or a cold beverage.

  • Golfing

    The 18-hole miniature golf course offers fun for the whole family.This beautifully designed and landscaped course offers many challenging holes and hazards.

  • Picnicking

    Cameron Run Regional Park is one of eight regional parks that offer rental picnic shelters that are perfect for picnics with family, friends and coworkers. The picnic shelter includes tables and grills. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all regional parks. Restroom facilities are available on the outside of the waterpark entrance building.

  • Water Sports

    The Great Waves waterpark offers a wave pool, water slides, and a toddler pool.


Spring and fall are generally comfortable with precipitation possible. Summers can be hot and humid with average temperatures in the high 80s and with sudden thunderstorms possible. July and August are the hottest months. Winters can be cold with average temperatures in the winter of 41 degrees with variable precipitation.



From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take exit 174 Eisenhower Avenue Connector and turn right on Eisenhower Ave. Continue 1/2 mile to the park.
