This short, easy trail leads visitors on a level trek to Murphy Point for expansive views to the west, north and south. This trail leads to the only area on the Island in the Sky mesa top that is accessible for primitive camping. A permit is required to use this area overnight.

Directions from Island in the Sky Visitor Center: Travel southward along Utah 313 6.25 miles to the junction of Upheaval Dome and Grand View Roads. Bear left at this junction and drive 2 miles to Murphy Road. Turn right and travel .25 miles to the trailhead at roads end.
