Hi,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us! If you go to our Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™app via the Apple Store, you will be able to find swimming and boating in parks and locations near you or in any location.

Let me help you:

  1. If you're on the homepage of the Oh, Ranger! ParkFinder™ app type in your 'Address, Location, or Zip code' in the area provided.
  2. After you've done that please click 'Select Things To Do' and pick your interest from our list provided (I.e. Swimming, Boating, etc.).
  3. Then scroll to the bottom of that same page and click 'Find Parks.'
  4. Once you've done that a list of the parks in or within miles of the 'Address, Location, or Zip Code' you provided in Step 1 with ONLY the activities you selected in Step 2 will appear.

Please let me know if that helps or if you have any further questions. Enjoy your adventure!

Hi Carol,

Thanks for reaching out to us! November is a great time of year to visit Death Valley National Park. The International Dark-Sky Association certifies Death Valley National Park as a gold-tier International Dark Sky Park, where the full array of visible sky phenomena can be viewed—e.g. aurora, airglow, Milky Way, zodiacal light, and faint meteors.

In the winter and spring seasons, park rangers offer night sky programs and hold stargazing events with astronomy organizations. Using high-powered telescopes, visitors can explore the mysteries of Death Valley's dark, night skies.

For more information on tours and viewing the night sky at Death Valley National Park, please visit http://www.nps.gov/deva/naturescience/lightscape.htm

We hope this information is helpful and that you will continue to use our ParkFinder app and website to find more great parks to explore!
