Average highs in Denver in August are in the high 80s. Average highs in cities along your route in Utah and Nevada can be in the 90s. For more about average temperatures, check out the average weather charts on weather.com.

As your trip approaches, you can check weather conditions on the interstate at weather.com's Interstate trip planner.

Oooh, hopefully this is a HYPOTHETICAL question!  We'll do some digging to see what we can find and get back to you... In the meantime, please note that OhRanger.com does not have doctors on staff.  We trust the folks at WedMD (see link below) but if you have a specific concern you should consult your personal physician.

SCORPION BITE TREATMENT:

Remember, scorpion bites are usually avoidable!  If camping, or in any environment you have doubts about, don't put your fingers and toes where you can't see them.  Shake out shoes, gloves, sleeping bags and tents before entering!
