The Bryce Astronomy Festival is an annual event (this was the 10th year!) in July.  This year's events were July 7-10.  Click here for more information and how to find out about next year's events.

Is a 7-day, $25 pass purchased at one park good at a different park within the same 7 day period?

The 7-day, $25 fee (fees vary from park to park) for park entrance is generally only good for entry in one park. There is an exception for Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks, which allows entry into both parks.

if you are planning on visiting multiple parks in a year, consider purchasing an $80 Federal Lands Pass, which allows unlimited entry for your family (in one vehicle) in the entire national park system. If you are over the age of 62, you can obtain a senior pass for $10, which entitles you to unlimited free entry to all national parks for the rest of your lifetime. When you consider that it costs more to take your family to the movies or a ball game, both are amazing deals!
