Hi,
Thank you for your question! Around 800 moose call Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks home. Most of these moose do live in Grand Teton, mainly in and around Willow Flats, Christian Pond (near Willow Flats) and Oxbow Bend. You can read more about this subject at this link: https://www.yellowstonepark.com/things-to-do/about-moose.
Wishing you a great park visit,

In the Grand Tetons are there any earth avalanches set off by tremors. It seems to me that there may have been one on Mount St. John

Hi,
Thank you for your question! Grand Teton National Park does contain active faults, and is at pretty high risk for earthquakes. The Teton Fault stretches to about forty four miles across. An earthquake occurs there around every two hundred years. You can read more specifics on the subject at these links: https://www.nps.gov/grte/learn/nature/geology.htm

The only campsites that horses are allowed to stop at are located in the Backcountry Area. However, fires are not permitted in backcountry when horses are present. You can stop to eat with your horses, however, a cookout would not be allowed. Please visit this link for more information.

You only have to pay one vehicle/entrance fee when entering either Yellowstone or Grand Teton. It's advised you keep your receipt on you for when you take the motorcycle off the truck bed and cruise around the park. For more information on Grand Teton call (307) 739-3300; for more information on Yellowstone call (307) 344-7381.
