There are many wetland areas in Grand Teton National Park that are created by beaver dams. These are often referred to as "Beaver Ponds." One of the most popularly photographed beaver ponds is located at Schwabacher's Landing.

Here's an example of a photo taken there.

Yes, Grand Teton National Park is open year round.  In late October, services will be limited and some roads may be closed.  The town of Jackson is just south of the park and has gas, food, and lodging.  Check out http://www.nps.gov/grte for more information and have a great trip.

Awe-inspiring views: Chapel at south end of Grand Teton Park a perfect spot for worship, sightseeing

August 2, 2010, 8:18 am

I assume you'll be going from Driggs to Jackson Hole and then up into GT? If so, Jackson Hole has a big variety of restaurants, both traditional as well as a few fast food joints. Finding breakfast options there should not be a problem at all.

If, on the other hand, you're heading up to West Yellowstone, and accessing GT via Yellowstone, you'll find some options in West Yellowstone, though not as many as Jackson Hole. The Mcdonalds there is open for breakfast, and I assume some of the traditional restaurants are as well.

Finding something open in the other small towns in the area is hit or miss. Most are tiny towns, but truck stops and travel center gas stations pop up here and there, some of which have dining rooms or cafeterias or in house fast food.

Jackson Hole is your best bet though.
