Grazing, hiking, tourism, public access, private property rights and Cedar City's watershed were the main topics addressed Monday by an estimated 40 participants at a public hearing before the Iron County Commission.

The purpose of the hearing was to assist the county to best decide the direction of its proposal to Congress to make Cedar Breaks National Monument a national park. The county said it is exploring the re-designation of the monument - referred to as a miniature Grand Canyon - primarily for increased tourism possibilities.
