OHV Riding at Bonny Lake State Park
The OHV riding area is open daily from sunrise to sunset, unless accessing the lake for night fishing from February 1st through October 31st.
The Bonny Lake OHV riding area is located adjacent to the North Cove Campground in the dry lake bottom of North Cove. The OHV area is approximately 150 acres in size with several natural jumps and ridges. In addition, a half-mile trail has been established to improve shore fishing access to the northeast corner of the lake.
Since OHVs (except those licensed with DMV) are not permitted on roads or in other areas of the park, they must be trailered into the staging area which is the North Cove Campground.
The staging area is located on the northeast side of Bonny Lake State Park at the North Cove Campground. A park pass is required on all vehicles accessing the area, and all OHVs must be registered, but there is no additional use fee.
Registering Your OHV
All OHVs must be properly registered for operation on public property. If the OHV has never been registered in Colorado, the vehicle will need to be inspected at the time of registration.
Colorado OHV Program
Before you adventure begins, familiarize yourself with Colorado's Off-Highway Vehicle Program, and its related information to ensure your safety and enjoyment as a responsible rider.
