Powderhound Loop is located 9.75 miles northwest of Leadville. Users for this loop gain access from the Tennessee Pass Winter Trailhead. The trailhead is located at the summit of Tennessee Pass across the highway from the entrance to Ski Cooper.

This loop begins and ends on the old railroad run. It is 2.5 miles long. Users should be prepared for an advanced level of difficulty.

Directions

Directions from Leadville: Drive approximately 9.75 miles north of Leadville on Highway 24. When you reach the Tenth Mountain Division Memorial and the entrance to Ski Cooper, you've reached the summit of Tennessee Pass. Across the highway from the memorial is the winter trailhead.
