The streamside environment along the Conant and Vinica brooks below the dam offers anglers excellent trout fishing, while warmwater fishermen enjoy the waters above the dam. Hunting is also popular among park visitors by permit in season.

  • Bicycling

    Mountain biking is available on the 14.5-mile MBW Trail. Bicycle riders should always ride at a safe and controlled speed, and alert other trail users when overtaking.

    Fishing is permitted with a state license in all areas except on the dam and the intake and outlet structures.

    Conant Brook is part of the 14.5-mile MBW Trail, which goes through the towns of Monson, Brimfield and Wales. In fall the colorful leaves make the rolling hills and the river valley a photographers delight. Scenic views can be enjoyed throughout the area.
