Conestoga Lake (Dam site #12) is located about 3 miles south and a half-mile west of Emerald, Nebraska and north of Denton, Nebraska on route S55A along West Pioneers Boulevard. Conestoga was completed on September 24, 1963. There is something for everyone at Conestoga Lake. The 230-acre lake provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor recreation, especially boating and fishing. Anglers can partake in ample fishing opportunities, which include largemouth bass, walleye, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, redear sunfish, and northern pike. The project has a total of 716 acres, leaving 486 acres for hunting ring-necked pheasants, bobwhite quail, mourning doves, cottontail rabbits, and white-tailed deer. Waterfowl hunting is not permitted within this project. Facilities include primitive camp sites, 33 improved camp sites -25 that have electrical hookups, two picnic areas, a playground, a fish cleaning station, a boat ramp, a dump station, vault toilets, and fire pits.

20 miles west of Lincoln, near Denton. The entrance to the campground is located one mile west of SH 55A along West Pioneers Boulevard.
