Quinnipiac River State Park
Plan Your Visit to Quinnipiac River (CT)
Quinnipiac River State Park is located in North Haven, Connecticut. Enclosed on the west by Wilbur Cross Parkway (often misdescribed as part of the Merritt Parkway) and on the east by Quinnipiac River. Described as undeveloped, though some structures related to former summer homes have survived demolition and frequent flooding, and a lightly maintained north-south hiking trail (a portion of the Quinnipiac Trail joining North Haven to Cheshire) runs through it between Tolles Road at the north end and Banton Street (behind the north-bound Wilbur Cross service plaza) at the south. This portion of the Q trail is usually unsuitable for tennis shoes due to deep mud at unbridged stream crossings.
Activities: Fishing, Hiking, Hunting
