Overview

Satan's Kingdom State Recreation Area, located on Route 44 in New Hartford, Connecticut. Free parking, changing houses and restrooms are available at Satan's Kingdom. The park has an unfortunate name,but is a beautiful place. Tubing on the Farmington River is really popular there, as well as whitewater rafting and swimming.

Boating
Located on the West Branch Farmington River, class I,II,and III rapids make for an enjoyable kayak, canoe or tubing trip.
Hiking
The main attraction is the tubing at Satan's Kingdom State Recreation Area, but hiking around the area can be a great way to dry off.
Water Sports
Take a cool, exciting and relaxing ride on a tube on the Farmington River from Memorial Day through mid-September. Participants must be able to swim, be at least 4'5" tall and at least 10 years old.
