Overview

East Shore is a great place to enjoy a quiet natural setting in the woods. East Shore offers shady camp sites and two picnic sites near Loon Lake and Mill Creek Road. The camp sites in this area are for tents only. A fishing dock is also close to the camp sites, and ample boating opportunities are available on the nearby Loon Lake. Hiking opportunities are available near East Shore.

Loon Lake Recreation Site (managed by the BLM) with its beach, boat launch, and day use area is just one mile north of East Shore. This popular recreation area boasts one of the Oregon coast's finest camp grounds and a warm, sandy beach. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and water skiing. Campsites, some accessible, are available for both tent campers and those with motor homes. Come enjoy all that these two beautiful sites have to offer.

Driving

From Reedsport: travel east on Hwy 38 for 13 miles. Turn right at Loon Lake exit and follow Mill Creek Road for eight miles south past Loon Lake Recreation Site. East Shore is on the left side of the road.
