Overview

Located on the fork of Edson Creek and Sixes River, this site, with its open meadows, is a popular swimming and fishing destination. Tall alder trees mixed with myrtle, big-leaf maple, and Oregon ash flank the open meadows at Edson Creek. In the spring, look for fawn lilies with their superb colors. Watch out though, because poison oak is also common at this site.

Picnic sites, fire rings, drinking water and accessible toilets are all available at Edson Creek. The boat launch area provides access to the river for small boats. There are 27 individual tent sites in the area, and four group sites that provide a picnic and camp area for groups of 25 to 200 people. These group sites are available by special reservation (541-756-0100).
