Overview

Fisher Towers Recreation Site, located 22 miles from the junction of Highway 191, has a small five site campground suitable for tent camping. The Recreation Site features a hiking trail which winds around the base of Fisher Towers. Climbers also find challenge in ascending the towers. The views of the Colorado River Basin, including Castle Rock, are stunning. Nightime brings excellent star viewing opportunities. Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis.

There is a fee for camping, but not for hiking/climbing.

Activities

  • Camping

    Five primitive campsites are available on a first come first served basis. Toilets are available.

  • Climbing

    The site offers excellent climbing opportunities for more experienced climbers. The Titan is one of the tallest and most renowned towers in the world. Numerous BLM campgrounds are located nearby on Route 128 and there are private campgrounds in Moab.

  • Hiking

    A hiking trail traverses the site. Some areas are steep, however the trail is suitable for most hikers.
