Overview

Nestled along a forested curve of the North Santiam River, Fishermen's Bend site is popular with both families and large groups. The area offers beautiful picnic areas and river access trails. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along a one-mile nature trail that offers views of the North Santiam River and wetland habitats. In addition, A nature center and an amphitheater provide information and programs for visitors. Picnicking along the Santiam River is also a popular activity, as are fishing and boating. The site also has available, with reservation, three group picnic shelters. The shelters each have baseball fields and volleyball courts, and are the prefect setting for a variety of fun, outdoor group functions.

Visitors wishing to extend their stay in the Fishermen's Bend Recreation Area can either set up a tent in one of the many campsites, or rent a small rustic cabin. In addition, groups camps are available for reservation, call to check availability.
