Game Fish Present: Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout

Description: This stream is located along the old highway in the upper canyon, and along I-70 in the lower canyon. The stream received mitigation work and habitat improvement work during highway construction, and is a nice place to fish even with the close road access. Brown trout are more common in the downstream sections, with wild rainbow more common upstream. The lower portion of the stream is within Fremont Indian State Park. A museum, hiking trail, and interpretive sites are available within the State Park to round out your recreational experience.
