Guided Tours

Visitors may not enter the Douglass house without a Ranger. Ranger-led tours of the home are available daily at 9:00, 12:15, 1:45, 3:00, and 3:30. Tour tickets are available by reservation or on a first-come first-served basis. Tours of the home last approximately 30 minutes.

During Douglass' life, Cedar Hill was a 15-acre estate that supported orchards and vegetable gardens as well as ornamental gardens. Visitors who wish to explore the grounds are welcome to do so throughout the day, and are encouraged to pick up a self-guided grounds tour map in the visitor center.
