Overview

This is a 500-acre natural area open to hunting seasonally and other activities year-round. It contains rare species and sensitive habitats. To protect these resources, vehicular access is limited to boat landing road. No ATVs or horses allowed.

Activities

  • Boating

    There is a boat ramp with parking ramp that provides access to the Flint River

  • Fishing

    Unless otherwise posted, fishing is allowed.

  • Hiking

    The trail system, consisting of un-maintained primitive roads, provides a limited hiking network. If hiking off-trail, please take a map and compass.

  • Hunting

    Deer, turkey and small game. Contact Georgia DNR for more information, regulations and seasons.

From Montezuma: Take Hwy. 49 north 1 mile to boat landing road; turn left; area lies along river bluff north and south of boat landing road.
