Arc'teryx Blade 21 Backpack Arc'teryx: Blade 21 Backpack

A deluxe briefcase that rides comfortably on your back. Ideal for business travel.

Winter climbs are a challenge but sometimes they pale when compared to the daily grind especially when it involves travel. The Arc'teryx Blade 21 Backpack makes the rat race a bit more tolerable however offering an organized place to carry all your tools of the trade. A padded laptop compartment offers protection when negotiating a maze of humanity while the thermoformed back panel and dual density shoulder straps team up for comfort even when the pack is fully loaded. Grab handles on the top and side make it easy to set Blade 21 in overhead cargo bins or to carry it briefcase style.

I love this pack. It's perfect for hauling around my laptop as well as some files books and other gear. Great load balancing and excellent compartments and pockets for everything you need. I really like the side entry zippers which makes for easy access to your contents. The side handle is great too for just grabbing and going. Travel and airport security are a breeze. There is a surprising amount of room in this pack but yet it's still compact enough to not feel cumbersome. Superior construction and durability which I've come to expect from Arc'teryx and this pack does not disappoint. Great style and perfect for anyone on the go.

Love my new Blade 21 Backpack. Perfect for carrying my computer on the Air lines and fitting in my folders as well as a hand bag. Easy access to the many pouches...and makes going through security with a lap top and also a roller piece of luggage a snap and as a female there is room to put my handbag into the backpadk. This is not an issue with a gentleman...but ladies do carry a purse.

Finally! Image: 5 Stars

I had been making the switch from a messenger style brief case to over the shoulder one for the past year. I had bought several different brands and styles and was never happy. Not to sound like Goldilocks but they were either too big or too small. The other issue was quality. Most of the bags I purchased for under $100 had one or more thing come apart. The Blade 21 is a perfect size the compartments make sense and I'd compare the quality of the materials and manufacturing up there with the $300+ Tumi bags. I'm using the bag everyday commuting and traveling and haven't found a downside. This isn't a book pack but a great sleek bag perfect for a laptop in a thick padded sleeve iPod camera a book and a few files. The side handle is a great addition that allows you easy access to the pockets without dumping your items out. It is perfect for whipping your laptop out when going through airport security.

The perfect airport pack Image: 5 Stars

I love almost everything about this pack when traveling. It holds my 15.5" widescreen laptop perfectly (I wouldn't go any bigger) with room for a couple of mags in the same compartment for the flight. The other pockets are perfect for snacks wallet keys passport parking stub cell etc. I love the side handle. All laptop backpacks should have a side handle like that. The size of the pack makes it easy to slip under the plane seat in front of you and easy to pull out while in flight. My only gripe is with the zippers. The pull tension on them almost requires you to use two hands sometimes.

Stylish and well designed Image: 5 Stars

Well designed for lugging your laptop through the airport. Nice carry handles located on top and side. plenty of compartments. No holder for water bottle or such. Only one suggestion for improvement. It needs a place to tuck the shoulder straps when you want to carry it like a briefcase. They dangle all over the place when carried on its side.
