Warm, light, and versatile.
I like this light weight jacket, which is perfect for layering. I wear it in the city, in the ski lodge, in the parties... Size Large is perfect for 6 feet, 180 lbs. neck size 16 and sleeves 35! I got long arms and it is perfect!

high quality
from it's light weightiness to it's attention to detail (zipper action, etc.), very nice jacket. I also like that it does not have both the arcteryx symbol and arcteryx also spelled out (i.e., some of their other softshells), which is a bit overkill. But don't buy it unless you are in love with the style and it fits you great, too much $$. Remember, it is a splurge.

Best Soft Shell on the Market
I just got this jacket after trying on all of the Arc'Teryx Soft Shells, and I can definitely say that the Gamma MX is my favorite by far. While it is not Gore windstopper material, it is much warmer than the windstopper soft shells and blocks about 90% of the wind. Which from living in San Francisco, Seattle, and LA is perfect. In fact I would say that if you live in either of those three areas this is the perfect jacket. I wear it walking the dog at night, traveling, and pretty much everywhere I go. I combine it with my Marmot Oracle jacket as a rain shell and I feel good to go. The fit is much more stream-lined than the other Arc'Teryx soft shells (which I like), and the wrists actually are fitted (which I also like). I'm 5'10", 195lbs, with broad shoulders and a large fits me pretty well.
