I just spent 10 days on an island off the coast of Germany in the North Sea where transportation is hiking biking or boating. It rained 8 out of 10 days often w/nearly gale-force gusts. Kept me dry during heavy downpours (short ones) sea spray and provided superior wind resistance. Highly breathable so I always stayed comfortable. This is the best piece of gear I've purchased in a long time!

This jacket is light easy to pack or carry and great during rain as it protects clothing. Also perfect to use while boating or sailing.

It definately keeps me dry in my 2mi trek to classes! It's pretty thin though which makes it easy to pack for travel in a backpack. But my clothes are dry no matter the amount of rain downpour! :)
