Designed like no other climbing shoe on the market, the Optimus Prime has a symmetric, round toe box, downcambered last, and deeper fitting and stiffer heel. The oval grid pattern rand provides additional protection and improved toe-hooking abilities while a Velcro closure keeps the Optimus Prime fit tight and secure.

Awesome!
I just got this shoe a few days ago, 12.5 is my street shoe size and I ordered these in 12.5 and they fit great. The performance level is amazing as well, I was climbing in a pair of cheap Mad Rocks before I bought these, now that I've started using Evolv, I can feel the difference.

toe power!
This is Evolve's high performance downturned climbing shoe designed by Chris Sharma. For a shoe of this type (specialized for steep hard climbing) it is exceptionally comfortable and versatile. I often see beginner-intermediate climbers using this shoe and having fun -- which says a lot! Try another company's "secret weapon" model on anything but the gnar-gnar and you will feel like your big toe is about to break. The key to this comfort is a less asymetric last while creating an aggressive downturned shape that stays through the life of the shoe. This model also features a deep high volume heel cup which fits and performs very well for me. The Optimus Primes have helped me step it up on gently overhanging to severely overhanging terrain - thanks Evolv!

Amazing!
The Optimus Prime is the most solid, stiff, and consistent fitting shoe I have ever put on. The shoes won't stretch, flex, or lose their downturned profile as much as others due to the synthetic material and rubber wrap around the shoe. Amazing edging and heel hooking capabilities.
