These shorts are better than most lighter in weight stretchy 80% polyester 20% spandex material but the price is still very expensive. These are my favorite shorts and are very stylish but if you want quality get these if you want quantity then get two pairs of boardshorts for the price of these.

26 years of surfing experience and these are hands downda best. I just returned from a long surfari in the south atolls by the time I was back on the large boat (via) dingy the shorts were dry. Worth the cash and the quality of the construction is top notch.

Just got back from Costa Rica I took 6 pair of boardshorts with me. I ended up wearing my two pair of Phantoms 90% of the time. Not only are they mega-comfortable they dry extremely fast. My only dilemma is how to afford replacing all my other boardshorts!!

Well i read all the reviews here before i bought these and I think I have to agree with all of them. The 20% stretch fabric in these hurley boardshorts is definately a nice feature to have. It makes it easy to sit down and eat hamburgers and feel fat without having the need to adjust these. The minimal weight is also nice. Be careful when you're pulling the tag off when they first arrive....I accidentally was a little too agreesive with a steak knife and I poked a hole in the fabric before I had a chance to wear them. The fabric is thin. So far the hole hasn't expanded...which tells me these shorts' material is built tough and won't tear.
