Customer Reviews for the Explorer Sunglasses (w/ Alti Spectron X6 Lenses)
Even better
I really like these glasses. This style seems to fit my face better than my Nomads, not to knock the nomads (they are great glasses), but due to the better fit of the explorers, they seem to vent better and fog up less. Like all Julbo glasses, the lenses are great as well. But I hope no one else buys them, that way i'm the only one on the mountain with them (just kidding). Thanks Julbo and Altrec for another great product and service!
Best glacier glasses on the market
These are simply the best glasses around, great sun and wind protection, and won't get blown off your face. I had a pair of these before that I took up Kilimanjaro and gave them to my guide afterwards, then just bought another pair for Aconcagua. No other glasses even come close.
Expected a little better quality
All in all...they do their job. They're very large and block out most if not all sunlight completely. The lenses are a perfect tint...however they do fog quite easily. The rubber ear bands are super adjustable, but when I tighten the strap (which works well), the entire rubber side piece pulls off. I'll be in contact with altrec and or julbo about this, otherwise though they're a good pair of glacier glasses.
