La Sportiva N.A. Cliff Climbing Shoe La Sportiva N.A.: Cliff Climbing Shoe

5-mm. Vibram® XSV sole withstands the rigors of beginning slips and scratches.

La Sportiva's Cliff looks like an expensive high-performance climbing shoe but the price durability and performance is a custom fit for beginners and developing climbers. The versatility is ideal for indoor and outdoor climbing but the fit is the key benefit: The Cliff has a roomy toe area and a narrow heel for enhanced comfort. The 1.1-mm. Laspoflex midsole provides support without compromising sensitivity. Like other La Sportiva shoes the shoe size may run narrower than other climbing brands. When choosing sizes keep in mind that the unlined leather upper will stretch slightly over time.

A good beginers shoe but often slipped on hard routes Image: 3 Stars

this is a good shoe for starting climbers. Even when fitted tight the shoe is comfortable. However I found that on harder routes with small jivs for footing the rounded toe often slipped off the rock.

Value for money Image: 5 Stars

I think this is good value for the money. All La Sportiva products are well made and the shoes run approximately true to size. It's hard to size climbing shoes without trying them because the different makers have very different ideas about size. Some are sized like running shoes--you have to order 1/2 to 1 full size larger than your street shoe. My experience is that La Sportiva runs close to your street shoe size so your street size may feel slightly close at first but perfect after that.
