When you're hiking biking or working under a hot sun the last article of apparel you want to shed is your boots. Well almost the last. Fortunately the Moab Ventilator Mid is like air conditioning for your feet. Mid-height uppers are Dura leather with lots of exposed breathable Ventilator mesh. Breathable mesh linings and bellow tongue. Rubber toe bumper and heel counter VibramŽ Multi-Sport Plus™ sole provide the protection support and traction you need when the action heats up.

I have both styles of this shoe and love them. The only problem I've had with them at all is my toes get pushed forward if I don't wear the right socks when I'm on mountainous terrain. I didn't have to break this pair in either and will probably stick with these boots! I love Merrills though because I've never had problems with them.

I removed these boots from the box and went hiking in the white mountains for 5 days......not a single blister nor rubbing or soreness. I highly recommend these boots. They feel like you are wearing slippers!

Great for moderate hiking. Have better grip then the hard sole boots. Love the mid-length as it gives me enough support but does not compromise my mobility.

Used new out of box to cover river rock trails for a week water crossings and walking in knee deep water for hours at a a time while prospecting for gold on the Mockelume river in California. Water drained out quickly mud fell away didn't built up in boot. In a warm humid climate they dried out after 8 hours max to use next morning. I wore them with old-school heavy Norwegian ragg-wool socks. Ankle support was excellent no problems at all very comfortable rugged light weight'ventilator' is 100% true. Since I was in and out of water going over all of the round river rock and bolders with no dirt trail this was a better choice for stability than the Waterpro Maipo but that one is good for other situations.

I own the moab ventilator low hiking show but at times my ankles ache so I thought I would try this. I have had now for about two weeks and they are just as comfortable as the low show but lots of extra support at the ankle. Adjusting to the new show has been no problem - no blisters sore spots etc. I'm preparing for my hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and I know I have found the shoe!
