I loved these shoes when I tried them on and they fit perfect from the start and didn't need any "breaking in". They were exactly the style I was looking for too. However they do not breath at all and my feet and the shoes stink everytime I wear them and they stay damp in the cushion for a day or more. I don't usually have these kinds of issues with shoes. They also turn my heals black (typical of black leather however). I am also having a problem with discoloration of the leather where the crease (from the walking movement)in the toe area near where the leather and the sole meet. I really want to like these shoes but the clausterphobia my feet are feeling is driving me crazy.

Merrell doesn't disappoint with this stylish yet rugged little shoe. No worries about slipping on the snow covered streets here! Very comfortable and true to size. ( I wear an 8 and these fit perfect.) Might have to get another pair in a different color. :)

awesome shoes very comfy definitely need to order 1 size up though. these are my fist pair of Merrells and i love them.
