They are very comfortable and wear well. I wear them to work as well as for outdoor activities and around town. I also have two pair of the shorts and they are great for outdoor activities as well.

Fit loose and too bulky for rock climbing. But great for camping in a late autumn.

My favorite pants ever Image: 5 Stars

Shopping at REI one day I found a pair of Otter Runout pants on sale and decided to try them on. I was immediately surprised by how well they fit and how movement was so unrestricted. This is due to the unique cut and pattern Mountain Hardwear has incorporated in this design. These pants are tough enough for the trail but also nice looking enough for casual dress out on the town. I am so fond of these pants that because I was afraid that they would be discontinued as so often happens I purchased 4 extra pair 2 Otter and 2 Khaki. This was my first Mountain Hardwear product I have purchased and I was very pleased. They are pricey but I did not mind spending a little extra because of the quality. I am disappointed that REI does not carry these as it was nice to try them on in the store. However Altrec provided great service. Because the size options are limited these pants may not fit everyone as well as they have me. They are definitely worth a try.

I have come to love Mountain Hardwear over the years and these don't disappoint. They are great pants for an active lifestyle. My only complaint is that they run quite large but cinched up tight they're still a great buy.
