I got this mug for my Appalachian Trail hike and used it for the first half of the trip. I started on 2/28 so I was having hot chocolate every night. I'm not sure what the other guy was thinking but it's not intended to be used as a pot. It worked great for drinking for me. The folding handles were a nice touch.

When used with the MSR coffee filter it works great. On cold days it dosnt hold heat well.

thinking .4 liters was a little more than it really is i bought this cup. it is tiny not big enough to heat on a whipserlite international stove
