Osprey holds on tight to their well-deserved reputation for comfortable load carriers here with a lightweight yet effective suspension that nicely transfers the weight to the mesh covered perforated hipbelt. The shoulder harness is also mesh covered and perforated for moisture wicking comfort that gives you room to breathe when grinding over a pass or traversing a sun-baked boulder field. The main pack bag has panel loading access which makes finding gear easy. Took the Talon 22 on a trip to the Big Island where we did long hikes and some climbing over rugged terrain. It performed very well and the torso adjustment feature ensured a comfortable non-shifting fit. Loved the accessibility to camera and cell phone in the waist straps and the multiple compartments made everything easy to find.

The ventilation and adjustable fit are top-notch on this pack. Talon 22 is lightweight but not flimsy. I think I'll get years of use out of this day pack. Just the right size for a 3-liter hydration pouch some emergency gear rain jacket and snacks - about all you need on a day hike.
