Awesome Laptop Protection Image: 5 Stars

Of all the laptop bags I've seen none offer the amount of protection this bag offfers. The padding is really sturdy not just some piddling amount of pillowing. The semi-rigid exterior is awesome making everything in your bag immediately visible when you open it. Fully taped zippers all around make this thing totally worry-free when you get caught in the rain. I've got a 15" powerbook in it and it fits like a glove. There's no snap or anything to seal the laptop sleeve but it'd just be redundant since the main flap keeps it from going anywhere. The only thing I'd add would be a beefier hand strap like the one from Outdoor Products' line. Overall an awesome bag!

Good bag, lousy handle Image: 4 Stars

Overall this is a pretty good bag for carrying a laptop and a bunch of other stuff. It's large inside has a tough shell and includes a shoulder and messenger strap. My only real complaint is the flimsy handle on the top. If the main compartment zipper isn't closed all the way carrying the bag by the handle deforms it outward - putting the contents at risk. Otherwise though it fits my need for a tough laptop messenger.

A solid and well thought out bag Image: 4 Stars

I bought this bag to replace my old messanger bag that was falling apart. I've always thought Osprey puts more thought into designing their bags than most companies and this one is no exception. Externally everything I grab all the time is in easy access: water bottle keys cell phone without openning the bag's main compartment. The construction is solid and I'm sure it'll hold up for quite a while. That being said it's not the prettiest bag and it wouldn't be my first choice for commuting on a bike even though it has a waist strap it's just not designed for that - and these are the only reasons why I wouldn't give it five stars.

Appropriate volume. Holds a 15.4" widescreen laptop secure and padded. I personally like top opening as opposed to the messenger bag style flap. Strap is comfortable. Overall great bag. Oh I got mine on sale--at regular price they are a bit steep.
