Outdoor Research Deluxe Spring Ring Headnet Outdoor Research: Deluxe Spring Ring Headnet

Large dimensions accommodate wide brim hats and sombrero-style headgear.

Designed to fit over large brim hats the Deluxe Spring Ring Headnet™ helps keep biting bugs at bay without compromising your view. The collapsible stainless steel ring design not only keeps the net away from your face but it helps minimize wrinkles (in the material not your face) that normally obstruct vision. Wear it hiking sleeping or while fishing from your float tube.

Keeps the Bug Off But At The Price Of Sight Image: 4 Stars

The OR bug net worked great but my vision was restricted. It is such a bummer when you are in a scenic area and can't enjoy the view because you have to hide behind the bug net.

I wear this every day in the office. I get some funny stares but I haven't been stung by a biting insect yet! Fantastic product something everyone should own!

Very handy in Alaska Image: 5 Stars

I brought this up to Alaska with me in June and it was incredibly useful to protect me from the clouds of mosquitoes and flies while out hiking on the tundra. It stays out away from the face well and has pretty good visibility.

Essential in Black Fly season! Image: 5 Stars
by WeekendHiker
I bought this to cope with black flies and mosquitoes in New England. I found it very useful - this would fit over my bike helmet (yes I *do* have a very small head) enabling me to use bike trails in the middle of fly season. I also liked its packability and ease of use. Can be (hand) washed with mild soap and water. Does obstruct view slightly - but it beats the flies by a long shot. Highly recommended.

a little hard to get the hang of collapsing it but it is worth the weight which is minimal and wont be left behind in bug country
