I had read that this bag was big and it is quite big! The back padding is extremely comfortable as are the shoulder straps. I'm not sure how much abuse this bag can take yet as I've only been using it for a month but it is holding up to the abuse I put it through. Watertight. I only wish they had a pocket built into the inside of the bag but other than that awesome.
